The officers and members of the South Bowers Fire Department are mourning the loss of 64 year Member and Past Vice President William H. "Wild Bill" Webb Jr, Bill was one of a kind and was known for his spontaneous fun, legendary stories, and taking a ride along the beach with anything that had a motor. He will be remembered for his love of South Bowers Beach and its preservation for all to enjoy, his dogs over the years, his stubborn and prideful character as a founding Webb, and 64 years of active fire service with South Bowers Volunteer Fire Company as the longest standing member.
