On Saturday February 5, 2022 Station 57 volunteers were dispatched for a Vehicle Fire with exposures to a building at a residence on South Bowers Road, Command 57 with Fire Chief Yonker responded immediately and was advised by Kent Center that a vehicle was on fire with exposures to a building Squad 57 with Assistant Chief Holleger responded with a crew of 5 and Rescue 57 with Captain Rickards and a crew of 5 responded not far behind Command 57. Command 57 arrived on scene with a pickup with the engine compartment involved and advised Kent Center that the fire was no longer a threat to the building and Chief Yonker established South Bowers Command and advised Squad 57 to pull a front bumper line and had Rescue 57 stage on the roadway and have manpower walk down the lane to assist Squad 57. Command placed the situation under control once the fire was extinguished and all units returned.
